As of May, 2026, the group of former camp staff members - Gary Maita, Frank Antos, Tom Bogart, Brian Codd, Mike Hurley, Mike Janeczko, Paul Weeks, Mike Williams and Bob Grillo - continue their efforts to convince state officials to allow a form of a public-private partnership to keep Camp Lewis operational and open for use. There has been no major decisions made as of this writing, but we have not given up. Stay tuned for more updates as we enter the summer months.
