As of July, 2026, former camp staff members - Gary Maita, Frank Antos, Tom Bogart, Brian Codd, Mike Hurley, Mike Janeczko, Paul Weeks, Mike Williams and Bob Grillo - continue their efforts to convince state officials to allow some form of a public-private partnership to keep Camp Lewis operational and open for use. There has been no decisions made as of this writing, but we have not given up. Talks continue, so stay tuned for more updates.
